MAN JAILED FOR 17 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A 29-year-old man has received a 17-year prison sentence after being found guilty of several child sexual offences.
Between April and June 2023, Klein Chinoda, formerly residing in Wellingborough, engaged in sexual abuse of a young girl multiple times in Wellingborough.
The case was investigated by specialized officers from Northamptonshire Police’s SOLAR Team, leading to Chinoda’s arrest.
He faced charges including seven counts of sexual activity with a child, two counts of possessing indecent images of a minor, and one count of rape.
Before the trial commenced, Chinoda admitted guilt to all the charges except for the rape allegation, which was tried before a jury.
After a four-day court hearing at Northampton Crown Court culminating on December 12, the jury found him guilty of the rape charge.
He appeared at the same court again in March, where he was sentenced to a 17-year imprisonment term.
