STALKER WHO BROKE EX-GIRLFRIEND'S NOSE AND SENT HER DEATH THREATS ON SNAPCHAT JAILED
A Peterborough man with obsessive behavior who assaulted his former partner, breaking her nose, has been sentenced to prison.
Sajaad Ahmed, 39, separated from his partner in July 2020 but kept showing up uninvited at her residence.
On July 26, he confronted her, shouting about her ending the relationship, before punching her in the face and causing her nose to break along with bruising.
Despite his arrest, Ahmed continued to offend while on bail, following the victim on five different occasions and sending her threats to kill via Snapchat in September 2020.
Residing on Gladstone Street, he was sentenced to three years and three months in prison and was given a 10-year restraining order after admitting to actual bodily harm at Cambridge Crown Court.
He was also convicted of inflicting serious injury on another individual when he drove his BMW X1 at a woman, injuring her foot in central Peterborough early on June 12, 2021.
DC Amanda Pickering commented, "These cowardly attacks must have been incredibly frightening for both victims and I am delighted justice has been served.
"Domestic abuse is a force priority and we will continue to work diligently to safeguard victims and push for the strongest possible action against offenders such as Ahmed."
