MAN DUE IN COURT CHARGED WITH PETERBOROUGH CHILD RAPE
A man accused of a string of historic child sex offences including the rape of a boy and indecent assaults on girls under 14 is due in court.Robert Porteous, of Kirkmeadow, Bretton, in Peterborough, is due to appear at Huntingdon Magistrates' Court this morning (Tuesday November 11) at 10am for his first hearing.
He is charged with 13 offences overall, including indecent assault, rape and gross indecency, which are all alleged to have taken place in Peterborough between 1998 and 2006.
Born on September 2, 1988, Porteous would still have been a child himself on the date of the first alleged offence.
The now 37-year-old is accused of two counts of rape of a male under 16, which are alleged to have taken place between September 6, 1998, and September 5, 2000.
He is also charged with six counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14 and two counts of gross indecency with a boy under the age of 14.
Porteous accused of a further two counts of gross indecency with a girl under the age of 16 and accused of assaulting a five-year-old girl.
