PETERBOROUGH STALKER PAUL GREEN JAILED FOR TORMENTING FAMILY
A stalker who tormented his victim and her family over an eight-day period has been jailed.Paul Green, 37, began stalking the family at their home in Eastfield, Peterborough, on June 6 this year.
Green sat at the end of the driveway and slept on the ground.
The following day, the victim noticed Green pacing up and down the driveway before taking off his clothes down to his underwear.
Green also approached the victim’s 11-year-old son, saying, “I know where you live and I hope you have a good football match.” Green left but returned later, making barking noises outside the house.
On June 8, Green directed the family’s car onto the driveway, smoked cannabis outside their house, and made strange noises until early morning.
The next day, he laid Jaffa Cakes on the driveway, re-arranged plant pots, washed himself at the outside tap, and left his dirty clothes on the driveway.
On June 10, the victim found two plant pots at the end of the driveway and noticed Green sweeping rubbish into a pile, also placing a “no entry” building site sign on the house window, claiming it was to “protect her.” Despite arrest and bail, Green’s stalking continued, including an attempt to break in after his release from custody.
Green believed he had bought the house from the victim’s parents and told a neighbor he owned it.
On December 15, at Cambridge Crown Court, Green was jailed for 12 months after pleading guilty to stalking.
Charges of assault and property damage were dropped, and a five-year restraining order was issued.
DC Lauren Clark stated: “Green waged a frightening campaign of stalking against the victim and her family so I am pleased he has faced justice.
It was incredibly intimidating for them all and I appreciate their cooperation.”
