STAFFORDSHIRE OFFENDER SENTENCED TO 11 YEARS FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS
A man named Myles Manyika from Shelton in Staffordshire has been convicted of serious sexual offenses. He was convicted of raping a woman and making her perform a sex act on him, with the assault occurring after she allowed him to use her bathroom following shared taxi transportation.
The court detailed that Manyika subjected the woman to drunken violence, stripping her and removing her undergarments, despite her pleas that she was on her period.
He raped her again the following morning.
Weeks later, Manyika, aged 25, along with his friend Jonathan Benjamin, 29, sexually assaulted a second woman after an evening at a local lounge.
Both men denied assault by penetration but were found guilty after a trial in September and sentenced to five years in prison.
Manyika was also sentenced to serve time on the sex offenders’ register for life.
A third individual involved in the case, Tinashe Garande from Nottingham, was cleared of rape but acknowledged having consensual sex with the woman.
The case highlights that the victim was left very shaken and struggles to come to terms with the incidents.
The authorities emphasized that all victims are encouraged to report sexual assaults, and they are taken very seriously.
