STAFFORDSHIRE MAN JAILED FOR MORE THAN SEVEN YEARS OVER ASSAULT AND ABUSE
Marlon Johnson, 48, admitted to multiple charges including four counts of assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH), two counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of assault by beating, and one count of threats to kill.
Johnson launched a campaign of abuse on a woman between 2021 and 2023, during which he punched her, dragged her by her hair, bit her, and hit her with objects, police said.
He was sentenced to over seven years in jail by Stafford Crown Court on October 20.
As part of his sentence, he was also served with an indefinite restraining order to prevent any contact with the victim.
Officers launched an investigation, and the victim's bravery supported the case, leading to Johnson's conviction and long-term imprisonment.
