HEAVY DRINKER CALLS PARTNER 'A BITCH' AND PUNCHES HER AT KIRKLEES MAGISTRATES' COURT
A man named John Tornross called his partner 'a bitch' and punched her twice in the face, causing injury.
This incident occurred while he was supposed to be helping her move house, but he flew into a rage and accused her of having an affair.
Tornross, who has admitted to being a heavy drinker, then left the scene before police arrived.
The magistrates at Kirklees Court sentenced him to a community order involving 25 rehabilitation days, including a domestic abuse program and alcohol education.
Additionally, Tornross was ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work, pay the victim £125 compensation, plus £150 prosecution costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
A lifetime restraining order was also issued, barring him from contacting the victim, going within 100 metres of her home, or threatening her.
