PAEDOPHILE USED SWEETS TO TRAP BOY INTO FIVE-YEAR SEXUAL ORDEAL
A man who inflicted a disturbing sexual assault on an innocent young boy more than 25 years ago has received an 11-year prison sentence.Ian Johnson was found guilty of four charges after a five-day trial held at Huntingdon Crown Court in December of the previous year.
The 59-year-old was taken into custody in 2016 following a disclosure by a man who revealed that Johnson had committed abuse over a span of five years starting in 1992, when the victim was only 7 years old.
It was reported that Johnson lured the boy by giving him sweets in an effort to earn his trust, then proceeded to sexually abuse him as often as twice weekly.
Johnson, who resides on Eastgate in Peterborough, was sentenced to 11 years in prison at Peterborough Crown Court.
The charges included gross indecency, two counts of indecent assault, and buggery.
