CRAIG FRANCE, PETERBOROUGH SEX OFFENDER, SENTENCED FOR HORRIFIC CRIMES INVOLVING VICTIMS IN CAMBRIDGE AND HERTFORDSHIRE
Craig France, a 33-year-old man from Peterborough, has been found guilty and subsequently sentenced for a series of heinous crimes that have shocked the local community and beyond.His criminal activities include a disturbing pattern of sexual offenses such as rape, sexual assault, voyeurism, and public exposure, all committed over a period of time that has left many victims traumatized.
France’s modus operandi involved targeting young women at nightclubs within the Peterborough area.
He would often lure these women with alcohol, creating a false sense of security before bringing them back to his residence.
Once there, he had installed hidden cameras, which he used to record his heinous acts.
The police investigation uncovered a staggering collection of over 6,000 disturbing images and videos, many of which depicted France engaging in sexual acts with unconscious or sleeping victims.
These recordings have caused widespread outrage and concern about the extent of his predatory behavior.
One particularly alarming incident involved a victim who had been drugged with a shot of Sambuca.
She woke up in France’s bed with no memory of what had transpired, but she instinctively sensed that something was terribly wrong.
The investigation revealed that there could be more victims beyond the four identified so far, raising fears that France’s criminal activities may have been more widespread than initially believed.
Among the evidence presented in court was a video showing France raping a woman who appeared to be unresponsive, a deeply disturbing piece of footage that underscored the severity of his crimes.
Additional footage captured him sexually assaulting other victims while they lay unaware, often unconscious or asleep.
France also filmed women without their consent, including a clip of him naked in broad daylight in Hertfordshire, further demonstrating his blatant disregard for privacy and consent.
Last month, France pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to his crimes.
The court proceedings culminated in a sentencing at Cambridge Crown Court, where he was handed a prison term of ten years and seven months.
