HUDDERSFIELD MAN AVOIDS JAIL AFTER ASSAULTING EX DURING HEATED ROW
A man named Charlie Frear assaulted his ex-partner during an argument about their child's behaviour.
He told her she needed to "start acting like a mother not a best mate." Frear stormed upstairs, shouting at her to "get out of my f*****g life," and continued his aggressive behavior as he returned downstairs, grabbing her by the arms and pushing her out the door, pushing her against the wall.
During the row in Gregory Springs Mount, Kirklees Magistrates Court heard that Frear punched a door and threw his ex's sunglasses, breaking them.
Frear admitted to the attack but claimed he didn't feel he had done anything wrong.
He was found guilty after a trial and sentenced to a nine-month community order with 15 rehabilitation activity days and 60 hours of unpaid work.
He must pay £620 in court costs, an £85 victim surcharge, £50 compensation to his ex, and £5 for her damaged sunglasses.
