DUNFERMLINE MAN AVOIDS JAIL AFTER ASSAULTING PARTNER AND THREATENING POLICE
A 46-year-old Dunfermline man, William Blount, who repeatedly punched his partner and threatened police, has avoided a jail term.
He admitted that on October 30 at Fairy Fa’ Crescent, Crossgates, he assaulted his partner by repeatedly striking her to the head, causing her to fall to the ground and strike her head off a kitchen counter then whilst she was on the floor he repeatedly struck her to the head to her injury.
On October 31 at Edward Street, Dunfermline, he shouted, swore, acted aggressively and repeatedly made threats of violence to police officers.
Blount became more and more aggressive and abusive, punching her multiple times, causing substantial bruising.
When police arrived, he said: “I’m going to enjoy killing you”.
The court sentenced him to a community payback order with supervision for a year and a two-year non-harassment order.
