PERVERT WHO SEXUALLY ASSAULTED TWO WOMEN ON PACKED TRAIN JAILED
This is Jamie Muir — the sex offender who preyed on two women aboard a packed train travelling to Edinburgh before trying to blame the crowded carriage for his sick behaviour.Muir, 33, was jailed for nine months at Dunfermline Sheriff Court after admitting sexually assaulting both women during the busy service from Inverkeithing to Edinburgh last November.
The court heard the train was crammed with rugby fans heading to Murrayfield for Scotland’s clash against Argentina when the predator struck.
Standing behind the two women, Muir began sexually assaulting them just minutes after the train departed Inverkeithing.
The coward then attempted to use the overcrowded carriage to disguise his actions.
When one of the victims confronted him, Muir reportedly apologised and bizarrely claimed he “didn’t know where he was.” Fellow passengers quickly stepped in and ordered the creep off the train at the next stop, forcing him to leave at North Queensferry.
After arriving at Edinburgh Waverley, the shaken women alerted British Transport Police, triggering an urgent hunt to identify the attacker.
Officers circulated images of Muir to police forces across the country before he was tracked down and arrested.
Even after his arrest, Muir attempted to excuse his behaviour by claiming he had been feeling unwell.
Sheriff court officials jailed the pervert for nine months and placed him on the Sex Offenders Register.

A court heard that Muir, who is already serving a jail sentence for an unrelated matter, targeted a 21-year-old woman and a 55-year-old woman during a busy train journey on November 16 last year.
The younger victim was touching her partner when she noticed Muir behind her, feeling a hand brush against her bottom and then being subjected to at least ten instances of repeated touching with more pressure each time.
The older woman was also touched multiple times, with Muir squeezing her bottom three to four times.
Witnesses described Muir's actions as intrusive and inappropriate, leading to his arrest and subsequent guilty plea at Dunfermline sheriff court.
Muir’s sentence is deferred until April 29 for background reports, and he has been placed on the sex offenders register.
