DUNFERMLINE DRUG DRIVER MUM CAUGHT AT SCHOOL DROP-OFF
A Dunfermline mum was caught drug-driving when taking her kids to school after a tip-off to police.Victoria King, 31, of McBaith Way, appeared in Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on September 11 in Dewar Street, Dunfermline, she was driving over the limit for cannabis.
Her blood test showed 3.9 microgrammes of Delta 9-THC per litre, exceeding the legal limit of 2 microgrammes.
Police observed her driving around 9am following intelligence she might be under the influence of controlled drugs.
Defence solicitor Stephen Morrison stated she is not a regular cannabis user and hadn't used it since, explaining she had been anxious and stressed about a High Court case and used cannabis to calm herself.
She was driving her children to school when police stopped her.
Sheriff Krista Johnston banned her from driving for a year and imposed a £250 fine.
