THOMAS MALANAFEY JAILED FOR CHILD ABUSE IN CUMBERNAULD AND GLASGOW WEST END
In a recent court ruling, Thomas Malanafey, a 38-year-old resident of Marywell Path, Cumbernauld, was sentenced to a prison term of 16 months after being convicted of two separate historical cases of child abuse that took place in Glasgow's west end.The conviction was handed down at Glasgow Sheriff Court following a trial that concluded on January 24, where the jury reached a majority verdict in favor of guilt.
One of the victims was subjected to molestation on Hogmanay in 1994, a date that marks New Year’s Eve, while the second young girl was abused over a period spanning from March 23, 1998, to March 22, 2000.

Additionally, the court ordered that he be subject to sex offender notification requirements for a period of ten years, ensuring ongoing monitoring and public safety measures.
