SECURITY GUARD AVOIDS JAIL AFTER SEXUALLY ASSAULTING TEEN AT ASDA
A creepy Asda security guard who "used store CCTV" to hunt down a teenage worker and sexually assault her has avoided jail.Kieran Morgan, 34, targeted then 16-year-old Taylor Roy while they worked together at the supermarket chain in her hometown of Cumbernauld in 2021.
Morgan, who was aged 30 at the time, began the torrent of abuse after she began working at the store that year.
Over the course of seven months, his behaviour escalated from making inappropriate comments towards the teenager - including unwanted remarks about her breasts.
The pervert then proceeded to repeatedly grab the victim's nipples.
The jury found Morgan guilty of the crimes at Airdrie Sheriff Court on August 18.
He was sentenced at the same court to 100 hours of unpaid work alongside a one-year non-harassment order towards Taylor and one other victim.
Morgan will also be supervised by authorities for one year.
Reacting to his sentencing, victim Taylor, now 21, said: "I'm devastated that he pays 100 hours back for the lifetime of trauma I have been left to deal with.
"Somehow, the courts see it fair to have victims suffer from the abuse they were subjected to, yet abusers and predators get slapped on the wrist.
"During that whole period, I was filled with dread and anxiety yet I had to turn up to work for every shift.
I was so young and the thought of it continues to make me feel sick."
