DUNFERMLINE MAN JAILED FOR BREACHING COURT ORDER AND ASSAULTING POLICE
A woman from Dunfermline was left 'terrified' after her former partner, Scott Dalgleish, appeared outside her home despite being prohibited from contacting her by a court order.
Dalgleish, 30, of Cobden Court, Crossgates, admitted to breaching a non-harassment order on March 8 by contacting his ex-partner at Gilfillan Road, Dunfermline.
He also pleaded guilty to resisting police at Dunfermline police station on March 9, where he struggled violently, kicked out, and lashed out at officers.
According to the depute fiscal Zahra Bhatti, at 9.25 pm, Dalgleish sent messages via Facebook claiming he was outside her house and then started banging on the door, causing her to contact his mother.
The court heard she was 'terrified' as he was attempting to put his hands through her letterbox.
Police attended after his mother called and Dalgleish resisted arrest, struggling and attacking officers.
Sheriff David Hall stated, 'You had no business being anywhere near her house.' Dalgleish was sentenced to a community payback order including 100 hours of unpaid work, three years of supervision, and participation in the Caledonian Programme for domestic offenders.
