GUILTY: DUNFERMLINE MAN GRABBED HIS PARTNER BY THE THROAT
A WOMAN was grabbed by the throat in an assault by her partner who also tried to pull off her engagement ring.She was attacked by 30-year-old Ruaridh McAllister, of Walnut Grove, Dunfermline.
He was convicted after a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and returned for sentencing.
McAllister was found guilty of a charge that on May 13 he assaulted his former partner by seizing her body and attempting to remove an engagement ring from her hand.
He pushed her on the body, causing her to fall to the ground and then seized her by the throat, all to her injury.
Sheriff Mark Allan imposed a community payback order with 200 hours of unpaid work and two years of supervision.
McAllister was also put on a three-year non-harassment order.
