RORY LORD FROM EASTLEIGH ADMITS TO HAVING OVER 700 CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN SHOCKING CASE
A man identified as Rory Lord has confessed to possessing a disturbing collection of more than 700 indecent images depicting children on his personal devices. The case unfolded at Southampton Magistrates’ Court, where Lord, aged 40, appeared with a stoic expression in the dock as he pleaded guilty to three separate charges related to the possession of these illicit images. The incident dates back to April 8, 2022, when police were alerted to an upload involving indecent images. Acting on this information, officers from the local law enforcement agency responded swiftly, visiting Lord’s residence in Eastleigh to conduct a thorough search of his electronic devices. The search yielded significant evidence, including a total of 746 images stored across his devices.
Prosecutor Anthony McCafferty detailed the findings, stating, “A search was conducted and his devices seized and searched. A total of 746 images were found on his devices. 133 of these were Category A – the most serious – 273 Category B, and 340 Category C. All children depicted in these images were under the age of 16.”
In addition to the illicit images, law enforcement officials discovered a bank card bearing someone else’s name at Lord’s property. When questioned, Lord admitted that he had found the card and intended to keep it, although he clarified that it was not connected to the indecent images.
Lord, who resides on Somers Way in Eastleigh, pleaded guilty to three charges: possession of indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child and theft related to the bank card. The case has now been transferred to Southampton Crown Court, where Lord is scheduled to be sentenced on June 17. Magistrates warned him to “keep his nose clean” until the sentencing date, emphasizing the seriousness of his actions and the ongoing legal process.
