SERIAL ABUSER SENTENCED FOR DECADE OF VIOLENT ATTACKS ON WOMEN
NOW DECEASED A serial domestic abuser who subjected multiple women to horrific violent and degrading assaults has been sentenced to almost four years in prison.
Nigel King was convicted of attacking three women over a span of more than 10 years at different addresses in Dunfermline.
King, aged 32 and currently incarcerated at HMP Perth, has a lengthy criminal record with over 50 previous convictions including assaults, carrying a knife, breach of the peace, theft, and motoring offenses.
He denied all allegations and insisted during a week-long trial at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court that he was ready to change.
The court found him guilty on multiple charges, including five counts of assault, one of sending threatening messages, and one of breaching bail.
Specific incidents included pushing a woman into a bath, causing her to hit a wall, and attacking the same woman by kicking her repeatedly while brandishing a knife.
The defence argued that King is seeking to reform, but the sheriff, Sheriff Alistair Thornton, deemed custody necessary due to his substantial criminal record and previous issues with court order compliance, sentencing him to 45 months, to be served consecutively with his current sentence, along with a one-year post-release supervision order.
