MAN JAILED FOR LIFE FOR DROWNING EX-FIANCÉE IN CLYDEBANK
A man who drowned his ex-fiancée in a bath after she told him she loved another man has been sentenced to life imprisonment.Michael Morrison, 27, admitted holding Sharon Brown's head underwater at her home in Clydebank in December while her two children were present.
When police arrived, a child told them, 'Mummy is asleep in the bath.' Morrison must serve a minimum of 13 years for her murder.
Previously, he and Miss Brown had been engaged before their relationship ended on December 3.
Court proceedings revealed that shortly before the incident, Morrison expressed feelings of hurt and anger, stating, 'I'm so hurt by what she has done.

They have got to be punished,' and later, 'I could kill her for what she has put me through.' Morrison had been planning to take his son to see Santa but instead went to Miss Brown's house, where he called emergency services, claiming, 'Tommy D killed my girlfriend.
She is lying in the bath.' Medical examinations showed Miss Brown died by drowning and had a stab wound to her neck.
He initially denied responsibility and later told his mother he had stabbed and drowned her.
In a letter to his aunt, he admitted stabbing her but claimed he tried to rescue her from the water, describing an argument about her relationship with Raymond Cossar.
Morrison asserted that he left her in the bath and came back to find her drowned, asserting he was outside waiting for an ambulance when she drowned.
The court sentenced Morrison to life with a minimum of 13 years, acknowledging the severity of his act and its impact on her family.
