CLYDEBANK OFFENDER ADMITS CHILD ABUSE VIDEO POSSESSION AND BREACH OF COURT ORDER
A pervert has admitted possessing an indecent video of child abuse while already being under strict supervision in the community.Johnathon Hanvidge previously pleaded guilty to possession of indecent images and allowing images to be made between February and May 2023.
He was subject to a 'sexual harm prevention order' (SHPO), which restricted his technology use and required police and social work checks.
Despite this, he violated the order within days of its imposition by breaching social media restrictions and acquiring a second phone without notifying authorities.
Police found he had been messaging in breach of the SHPO, and he claimed ignorance about the violations.
During a police visit, he handed over the second device, which contained a single image of serious abuse.
The court deferred sentencing until August 12 for further reports, and he was remanded in custody.
