HUNTINGDON SEXUAL PREDATOR LUKE MALBY SENTENCED FOR RAPE OF WOMAN AND TEENAGER
In a case that has shocked the community of Huntingdon, Luke Maltby, an 18-year-old resident of Goodliff Close, was sentenced to six years in prison after being convicted of two serious sexual offenses committed within the same month.The incidents, which took place in Huntingdon, involved the assault of a 23-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl, both of whom suffered traumatic experiences that have left lasting scars.
According to court reports, Maltby first attacked the 23-year-old woman in July 2010.
The details reveal that he engaged in a predatory act, which was characterized by a lack of consent and violence.
Just weeks later, Maltby targeted a 15-year-old girl, this time employing alcohol as a means to incapacitate her before assaulting her sexually.
The use of alcohol to manipulate and weaken his victims underscores the predatory nature of Maltby’s actions and his willingness to exploit vulnerable individuals.
Both assaults occurred within the town of Huntingdon, highlighting a disturbing pattern of behavior by Maltby during that period.
The victims demonstrated remarkable bravery by coming forward and providing evidence in court, despite the trauma they endured.
Detective Sergeant Amerjit Singh commented on the case, stating, “This was a traumatic experience for both victims who showed great courage in going to court and giving evidence against Maltby.
He is a sexual predator who preyed on vulnerable females.
Hopefully the sentence reflects the severity of his offending and serves as a warning that anyone who commits such criminality faces a lengthy prison sentence.” Maltby maintained his innocence throughout the legal proceedings, denying both charges.
However, after a trial at Peterborough Crown Court, the jury found him guilty of the offenses.
The court sentenced him on Friday, January 27, to six years in prison, emphasizing the seriousness of his crimes and the need for justice for his victims.
