Following an investigation by South Wales Police, a man has been sentenced for attacking three young children in a public park.
Luke Jancouski, 39, from Trecynon, received a prison term of one year and six months after pleading guilty.
His sentence was handed down on Thursday, March 5 at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court.
He admitted to two charges of assault causing actual bodily harm and one charge of assault by beating.
The court was told that in early January 2026, three 11-year-old children were in Aberdare Park when they were approached and assaulted by Jancouski.
The children were victims of different attacks: one was poked in the eye and hit on the head, another was punched leading to a lost tooth, and the third was punched in the nose.
Investigators identified Jancouski as the culprit by analyzing CCTV footage that displayed a distinctive tattoo on his hand, linking him to the crime.
