HAWICK MAN FOUND IN COMPANY OF EX GETS 5-MONTH JAIL SENTENCE
A HAWICK man found in the company of his ex-partner who he was banned from having any contact with has received a five-month jail sentence at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.Thirty-four-year-old Lee Johnstone pleaded guilty to breaching his bail conditions at a house in the Borders on January 23 last year.
Police received an anonymous call around 5pm stating Johnstone was at the woman’s uncle’s house and she was in attendance – which was a breach of the court order.
The court heard Johnstone is currently serving a prison sentence and is not due to be released until December 10.
Sheriff Peter Paterson imposed a prison sentence of five months, which he said would not affect Johnstone’s release date.
