HAWICK ALERT - CHANCE HEART Chance Heart of Oliver Park in Hawick has appeared in court charged with a string of domestic abuse and sexual offences including 2 charges of rape against young females.
On the 17th April 2026, at Jedburgh court the sheriff told the accused that he had been charged with a number of serious offences and was granted bail with very strict conditions.
One victim has stated that they are "extremely scared that he has been released on bail".
They added that they were choked until they were unconscious on one occasion and often feared for their life.
The case has been adjourned to a later date and will likely be transferred to the High Court due to the seriousness and complexity of the offences.
