CUMNOCK MAN ACCUSED OF RECORDING SEX ACT
A Cumnock man who allegedly recorded himself and his girlfriend having sex without her consent or knowledge this was happening is due to face trial next year.Lee Davies, 40, faces a charge of filming private acts between May 15 and June 11 this year at an address in Logan.
It’s claimed Davies recorded the complainer with the intention of enabling himself or others to look at the images.
Court papers allege he repeatedly recorded her having sexual intercourse with himself without asking her consent or her knowledge of the filming.
The Procurator Fiscal’s complaint states the alleged offence is aggravated by involving abuse of a partner or ex partner.
When he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court last week [Wednesday, November 30], Davies’ solicitor told his client pleaded not guilty to the charge at this hearing.
Defence solicitor John Gillies said he would have to attend the Crown Office with his client in order to be able to view the evidence, asking that the case be adjourned to a later date.
Bail was continued and Davies is due to face trial next year with an intermediate diet hearing set for the month before.
Davies, of Emrys Avenue, Cumnock, will return to court at a later date.
