LOCHGELLY MAN THREATENED TO KILL PARTNER IN DUNFERMLINE
A MAN who threatened and shouted at his partner as they walked through Dunfermline has been jailed. He admitted that on October 6 last year at Tuke Street, Arthur Street and Headwell Avenue, Dunfermline, he shouted, swore and acted aggressively towards his partner, made offensive and derogatory remarks and made a threat to kill her.
Depute fiscal Finlay Park said various witnesses heard Hunter shouting at the woman at different streets.
At one point, he shouted at her: “I’ll kill you”.
A passerby told Hunter to stop his behaviour and he responded by becoming aggressive towards him.
The police were called to the area and when they found Hunter, he told them to “f*** off” after being arrested.
Defence solicitor Gino Gambale said: “He could be described as a prolific offender from his record.
“He had been released from a jail sentence last May.
He has a problematic relationship with alcohol.
“He knows with his record the court will always be considering a custodial sentence.” Sheriff Krista Johnston told Hunter: “You have a record for analogous offending.
In this case your behaviour was disruptive, offensive bullying.” She jailed Hunter for 140 days and put him on a two-year non-harassment order.
