INVERKEITHING MAN KEVIN STARK JAILED FOR BUS ASSAULT AND SERIES OF OFFENCES IN ROSYTH
An Inverkeithing man who attacked another passenger on a bus has been jailed for a catalogue of offending.Kevin Stark, 34, of Spittalfield Road, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court by video-link from prison.
The court heard he was shouting on a bus and was asked to stop by two male passengers.
He then lunged and punched one of the men to the face before pulling him off the bus when it had stopped in Rosyth.
The man was punched to the head again, causing him to fall with his head hitting against a bin.
Stark continued the assault by putting the man in a headlock.
When police arrived, he was arrested and began struggling with officers.
Stark admitted a string of offences and was sentenced for others where he had breached community orders.
On July 26 at Spittalfield Road he assaulted a man by sitting on top of him and repeatedly punching him to the head, to his injury.
On August 27 at Admiralty Road, Rosyth, he assaulted a man by lunging at him, punching him, seizing hold of him, pulling him off a bus, punched him repeatedly to the head, causing him to fall against a bin striking his head, then seized hold of him again placing his arm around his neck.
Also in Rosyth that day he resisted two police officers, struggled with them and repeatedly struck his head against the cell of a police van.
He resisted police officers, attempted to prevent the application of handcuffs and repeatedly kicked out, striking a PC to the body.
She also admitted that on April 20 last year at Divit Barbers, High Street, he forcibly removed tiles from the roof.
He then threw them at windows, damaging them.
The roof was also damaged.
She said the roof incident took place when he was being chased by youths with a knife.
Sheriff Susan Duff jailed Stark for a year backdated to August 28.
She also imposed a two-year non-harassment order banning any contact with his ex-partner.
