CLYDEBANK SEX OFFENDER ADMITS TO OWNING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
The 65-year-old Drumry man — who has a previous conviction for indecently assaulting two young children — last week appeared in the dock at Dumbarton Sheriff Court and admitted to an offence involving vile images of kids over a 10-day period in March.Joyce has also been placed on the sex offenders register until at least 2025.
It follows a previous conviction for approaching different prostitutes in the east end of Glasgow over the course of a year and asking them to get hold of a child for him to sexually abuse as well as asking them to film the abuse of youngsters.
Despite previous stints behind bars, police caught Joyce earlier this year when officers seized an HP laptop and a hard drive from his home.
Evidence of indecent images of children was found on his laptop, with a total of 195 images on the hard drive, although most appeared to have been deleted.
Police also discovered searches indicating Joyce was seeking indecent images.
He admitted to taking or permitting to be taken, or making, indecent photographs of children between March 7 and 17, 2014.
The case was adjourned for reports before sentencing.
