INFAMOUS SEX OFFENDER AND CONMAN JOHN CRONIN JAILED AGAIN FOR THEFT
John Cronin, a notorious offender with a long history of criminal behavior, has been involved in a series of serious offences over the past 25 years. Most recently, he was found guilty of stealing £4,000 from his girlfriend after posing as a bank manager.
The incident occurred after Cronin convinced his victim to withdraw the money, claiming it was for a car purchase, and then vanished with the cash.
This led to his arrest at his home in Solihull, and he pleaded guilty to theft, receiving a sentence of 28 months in prison along with an order to pay £2,000 in compensation to the victim.
Investigations revealed that Cronin has a history of sexual violence and fraud, including a life sentence in 1992 for a sexual attack on a woman in Scotland while disguised as a priest, and multiple other convictions for fraud, theft, and sexual offences.
Despite his dangerous reputation and a record of over 50 offences in 25 years, Cronin remains on license and is currently not on the Sex Offenders’ Register, allowing him freedom of movement.
He has been described by psychiatrists as "one of the most dangerous sexual predators in Britain" and has previously been convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and attacking a woman while dressed as a priest.
He has also been jailed for various crimes across the UK, including armed bank robberies and deception to fraudulently gain access to victims.
Last year, he was released from prison after serving a sentence for theft, and he was last seen shopping in Belfast, where he is believed to be residing.
Authorities continue to monitor his movements, although his current whereabouts are unconfirmed.
This case highlights his pattern of deception, sexual violence, and criminal activity, underlining the ongoing danger he poses to the public.
