DOUBLE SHAME: ABUSER CAUGHT SENDING EXPLICIT PICS – NOW ON SEX OFFENDERS LIST
A man from Dunfermline named Jake Richardson, aged 24, with a history of domestic abuse offenses, appeared in Dunfermline Sheriff Court.He admitted to a series of aggressive behaviors at his home on April 6, including shouting, swearing, and kicking a door repeatedly during an argument with his partner.
According to the prosecutor Jill Currie, the argument started around 11 pm when Richardson refused to leave after being asked.
During the altercation, Richardson told his partner, "You're lucky that you're pregnant otherwise I'd hit you," implying violence would have ensued if not for her pregnancy.
Following this, he left but later returned 20 minutes afterward, kicking the communal front door when he was denied entry.
When he was allowed back in, the argument continued, and nearby individuals called the police.
The defense lawyer Gordon Martin mentioned that Richardson had shown some remorse, stating, "To some extent, he's learned a lesson.
A bit late in the day but better late than never." The sheriff, Charles Macnair, expressed concern over Richardson's previous domestic offenses, describing the incident as "of considerable concern." As a result, Richardson was sentenced to a community payback order with 12 months' supervision.
May 2025 — Jake James Richardson has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 18 months after sending unsolicited sexualised pictures and videos to a female complainer.
The court heard that Richardson deliberately sent explicit images and videos without consent, behaviour which was deemed to constitute a sexual offence.
It was on this basis that the Sheriff ordered he be placed on the register.
The case, which called on 1 May 2025 and was deferred to 28 May 2025 for sentencing, concluded with the Sheriff issuing a Community Payback Order.
This type of order is designed to provide offenders with an opportunity to repay society while addressing their offending behaviours.
As part of the sentence, Richardson is now subject to 18 months of supervision and will remain on the Sex Offenders Register from 2 April 2025.
The Sheriff also confirmed that all previous bail conditions imposed on Richardson have now been removed.
While the case has significant implications for community safety, it has not been reported in mainstream media.
