A RAPIST branded a danger to women has been jailed for six-and-a-half years for a “dominating and forceful” attack.

Guiseppe Capparelli, pictured, aged 26, had denied raping his victim and was convicted after a trial.

Judge Timothy Clayson, sentencing, said Capparelli, of Tonge Moor Road, Tonge Moor, was an “overbearing bully.” He was jailed for one count of rape and will serve an extended sentence of three years, where he will be monitored on release.

He was ordered to inform police of his whereabouts for the rest of his life.

Bolton Crown Court heard the rape happened at his parents’ home in Tonge Moor Road on July 25, 2009.

Capparelli was said to have raped the woman, who cannot be named for legal reason, minutes after his mother walked out of his bedroom.

His victim needed hospital treatment.

The incident was not reported to police until June, 2010, after Capparelli was released on licence from a two-and-a-half year sentence for assault, actual bodily harm, criminal damage and harassment in May, 2010.

Hugh Barton, defending, asked Judge Clayson not to pass an indeterminate sentence.

He said: “This is a young man who, apart from 10 days, has been in custody since September, 2010.

“He has found his time in custody increasingly problematic.

He is an industrious, much loved member of his family.” Judge Clayson said: “You raped her obviously taking no account at all of her upset.

It was a dominating and humiliating offence of forceful rape.

“You blame your victim, you view yourself as a responsible and attractive man.

You behave like an overbearing bully.” Giuseppe / Guiseppe has an extensive criminal background, including multiple assaults on his past relationships.

He was arrested in 2022 for assaulting his current partner, but was released due to her refusing to give a statements
