FORMER SUPPLY TEACHER CHARGED WITH CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A man from Greater Manchester, who previously worked as a supply teacher, has admitted to multiple child sex offences including upskirting and voyeurism, following an investigation by Greater Manchester Police.Abusali Rahman (born 29 August 1989), a British citizen of Bangladeshi descent from Salford, appeared at Bolton Crown Court on 28 May 2026 to plead guilty to several charges.
These included 12 counts of taking indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children, primarily through upskirting; four counts of publishing obscene material, consisting of AI-generated sexualised images; three counts of creating indecent photographs of a child using AI technology; one count of sharing an indecent image of a child with another individual; and one count of operating a device underneath a person's clothing without their consent, specifically for upskirting.
Rahman has been remanded into custody and is scheduled for sentencing on 1 September.
The allegations relate to offences believed to have occurred from December 2023 to June 2025, involving 13 girls across various secondary schools in the northwest of England.
Authorities have notified all affected schools and the children’s parents or guardians, and relevant safeguarding agencies have been informed of the ongoing investigation.
