GAVIN SCOTT EXPOSES HIMSELF IN HAWICK PUB, PLACED ON SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER
A 38-year-old man named Gavin Scott has been officially placed on the Sex Offenders Register following an incident that took place in a busy public house in Hawick.The incident involved Scott intentionally exposing his genitals in a sexual manner, with the apparent intent of attracting the attention of others present in the establishment.
According to reports, Scott's actions were witnessed by three teenage girls who were in the pub at the time.
The young females observed Scott masturbating and, in response, he made a disturbing remark, saying, 'this is for you.' The girls were understandably alarmed by his behavior and promptly reported the incident to the authorities.
During police questioning, Gavin Scott claimed that he had no memory of the event.
He explained that he was heavily intoxicated at the time, which he believed might have impaired his recollection of the incident.
Despite his claims of amnesia, evidence was gathered, including a photograph taken by one of the teenage girls, which clearly documented Scott's inappropriate actions.
The court proceedings resulted in Scott being convicted of the charges related to his indecent exposure.
As part of his sentence, he has now been registered on the Sex Offenders Register, a measure intended to monitor and manage individuals convicted of sexual offenses.
