NELSON MAN SENTENCED FOR ASSAULT AND CAR DAMAGE AFTER DOMESTIC DISPUTE

A man named Edward Geddes, aged 28, attacked his former partner Donna Kellett before damaging her car and a neighbour's property.

The incident occurred after she returned from a night out at 9am.

The court was informed that Geddes started shouting at Donna, pushed her, and hit her in a temper.

He caused £1,600 worth of damage.

Geddes admitted to assault by beating and two counts of damage on July 8.

As a result, he received a 12-month community order with supervision, inclusion in the CALM programme, and alcohol treatment.

Additionally, he was ordered to pay £379.50 in compensation.
