EASTLEIGH MAN JAILED FOR INSTRUCTING FRIENDS TO ATTACK PARTNER ON SIGHT
Daniel Poskitt, a 36-year-old man from Stranding Street, Eastleigh, has been sentenced to 27 and a half months in prison after admitting to a series of domestic violence-related offenses.The court heard that Poskitt told his partner, Elisha Blakely, that he had instructed his friends to attack her on sight, which she reported to the police.
Poskitt, who has a history of 17 court appearances for 23 offenses including harassment and assault, had a four-year relationship with Ms.
Blakely, during which he was abusive and under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
The assaults occurred in September and October 2023, with incidents including slapping her across the face three times while making a threatening remark, knocking her into a kitchen cupboard, and repeatedly punching her face.
He also stalked her in December 2024 and January 2025, sending threats via voice notes, shouting at her, and looking through her windows.
Poskitt was arrested after kicking her door down, attempting to throw a bike at police during his arrest, and hiding in a bike shed.
His mitigation included claims of mental health issues, such as personality disorder, and a troubled childhood involving abuse.
The judge sentenced him to 27.5 months in prison, and he was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, stalking involving threats of violence, and assaulting a police officer.
