In Dunfermline, an employee has been placed on the sex offenders register following disturbing incidents at the workplace involving inappropriate conduct towards female colleagues.Craig Coleman, 48, from Culross, appeared before Dunfermline Sheriff Court to accept responsibility for a range of offences spanning over a year.
His actions included repeatedly referencing his 'erection issue' in a manner that caused discomfort among coworkers, secretly filming himself in a sexual act inside a company vehicle, and subsequently sharing the footage.
The court revealed that between January and July of 2022, Coleman persistently made indecent remarks to a female coworker, claiming to suffer from a medical condition that caused recurrent erections, and requested assistance with related items.
He also sent explicit sexual images and videos to other employees, including footage of himself engaging in sexual intercourse, all without permission.
Additionally, Coleman was convicted of voyeurism for recording a sexual act involving a woman in private, and then showing that recording to another staff member.
During 2023, Coleman maintained inappropriate communications with a third female worker over his medical condition, sending her explicit images and a sexual video.
His misconduct escalated when he secretly recorded two women having sex in a work van and then shared the recording with another female employee, who recognized her.
This incident was discovered during a work event, leading female staff to report the matter to their employer and police.
Coleman remained silent when questioned by authorities.
His legal team indicated he was genuinely remorseful, noting that his actions extended beyond simple office banter.
The sheriff imposed a sentence that included a community payback order with 160 hours of unpaid work, a two-year supervision period, mandatory participation in a sexual offenders' programme, and registration on the sex offenders register for five years.
