BLACKWOOD PAEDOPHILE CAUGHT WITH 117 CHILD ABUSE IMAGES
A PAEDOPHILE has been caught with more than 100 child sex abuse images.
Charlie Trickett, 18, of Cwm Braenar, Pontllanfraith, Blackwood was sentenced to an 18-month community order at Newport Magistrates' Court.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the possession of 68 indecent images of children at category A, the most serious kind, 33 indecent images of children at category B and 16 indecent images of children at category C.
His offences were committed between April 30, 2023 and March 4, 2025.
Trickett will have to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work and complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
The defendant was made the subject of a 12-month mental health treatment requirement to see a medical practitioner/psychologist.
He will have to register as a sex offender for five years and pay a £114 surcharge and £85 costs.
