MORECAMBE MAN JAILED FOR FIVE YEARS FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ASSAULTS
Callum Astley, aged 28, carried out multiple assaults on his victim while residing in Grange-over-Sands during the summer of the previous year.
Following thorough police inquiries, he has now been convicted and sentenced to prison.
Authorities have emphasized the importance of victims coming forward with any reports of abuse, assuring that all cases will be approached with care and detailed investigation.
Astley, whose address is on Ellesmere Road in Morecambe, appeared before Preston Crown Court to face justice.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of assault involving the woman, in addition to a charge of common assault against another individual.
The incidents occurred in June and July of 2020, with his arrest and remand coming soon after the offences were committed.

“Domestic violence is a priority for Cumbria Constabulary and we take a proactive and sensitive approach to investigating incidents which are reported to us.
