In a disturbing case that highlights ongoing concerns about child safety and the risks posed by repeat offenders, Andrew White, a known sex offender with ties to both Harlow and Ipswich, has been sentenced to prison once more.
The case unfolded in Ipswich, where White’s criminal activities came to light following a series of alarming incidents involving a teenage girl.
White, aged 26 at the time, had previously been convicted of a child sex offence and was under strict legal restrictions designed to prevent him from having unsupervised contact with minors.
These restrictions included a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO), which was imposed by Luton Crown Court in 2010.
Despite these measures, White managed to breach the order, leading to further legal action.
The latest incident occurred after White met a 14-year-old girl through her friend, whom he had befriended at The Maypole pub located on Old Norwich Road in Ipswich.
Exploiting her vulnerability and desire for companionship, White engaged in a series of sexual encounters with her.
Over a period of just a few weeks, from April 19 to May 16, he had sex with the girl on three separate occasions.
