BRITAIN'S YOUNGEST FEMALE DOUBLE MURDERER MOVES TO OPEN PRISON
Britain's youngest female double murderer, Lorraine Thorpe, who was 15 when she carried out the killings in 2009, has been cleared to move to an open jail. She and Paul Clarke, 41, murdered Rosalyn Hunt, 41, after a row over a dog.
Thorpe and Clarke subjected Rosalyn to horrific torture, including attacking her with a cheese grater, rubbing salt into her wounds, beating her, stamping on her, breaking ribs, and whipping her with dog chains.
Thorpe's sentencing at Ipswich Crown Court in 2010 described her as "stubborn and manipulative," with a childhood marked by violence and neglect.
The Parole Board recently indicated she should not be released yet, citing her progress and lack of recent violence, but she remains under supervision and will be reviewed again in two years.
