HARLOW MAN CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE SEX OFFENCES INVOLVING CHILDREN
A HARLOW resident faces a number of charges involving downloading images of child abuse as well as communicating with a child for the purposes of sex.Dimitrar Dimitrov, aged 78, of Church Leys, Harlow was charged with the following at Chelmsford magistrates court.
Between August 30th, 2024 and September 1st 2024, being a person aged 18 or over, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, intentionally caused a child under the age of 13, namely 13, to look at an image of a person engaging in a sexual activity.
On or before May 21st, 2025, made indecent photographs, namely 4 x Category A Indecent Images of a child.
On or before May 21st, 2025, made indecent photographs, namely 2 x Category B Indecent Images of a child.
On or before May 21st, 2025, made indecent photographs, namely 6 x Category C Indecent Images of a child.
On September 5th, 2025, distributed indecent photographs, namely Category A Indecent Image, of a child.
Between January 24th, 2025 and January 25th, 2025, being a person aged 18 or over, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, intentionally communicated with a person under 16 who you did not reasonably believe to be 16 or over, the communication being sexual.
Between July 13th, 2024 and June 2nd, 2025, being a person aged 18 or over, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, intentionally communicated with a person under 16 who you did not reasonably believe to be 16 or over, the communication being sexual.
Dimitrov has been remanded on conditional bail.
His next hearing at Chelmsford magistrates court is scheduled for May 11th, 2026.
