ALASTAIR MAXWELL SENTENCED TO TWO YEARS IN JAIL IN GLASGOW
In December 2012, Alastair Maxwell, a local resident known as Albert, was sentenced to 27 months in prison for multiple criminal offenses.
Maxwell, aged 51 and residing on Beaconsfield Terrace in Glasgow, was convicted of engaging in sexual abuse of a teenage girl within the town between December 2005 and March 2007.
The charges also included committing indecent and libidinous acts, making sexual remarks to the girl, and compelling her to perform sexual acts.
Furthermore, Maxwell was found to have taken indecent photographs of the girl and stored these images on his computer.
Judge Rita Rae, addressing the court at Glasgow High Court, remarked, 'There is no suggestion the images were other than for your own personal use.'
