ZACHARIAH ROBERTS FROM MILFORD HAVEN SENTENCED FOR BREACHING RESTRAINING ORDER IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASE

Zachariah Roberts, a 23-year-old man residing on Marble Hall Road in Milford Haven, has been handed a jail sentence after he was found to have violated a court-issued restraining order just three weeks after it was put into effect. The incident underscores the ongoing struggles with domestic violence and court enforcement in the Milford Haven area.

Roberts’s troubled history with the law includes a previous conviction for battery, which occurred on December 16. On that occasion, he had consumed half a bottle of vodka and assaulted his girlfriend when she asked him not to urinate inside her flat. This violent episode resulted in his incarceration and the imposition of a three-year restraining order at Swansea Crown Court, aimed at preventing any further contact or harassment of the victim.

Despite the court’s clear directives, Roberts was found in the company of the same woman in Milford Haven on January 6. This breach of the restraining order led to his immediate arrest. The following day, at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court, Roberts admitted to breaching the court order and pleaded guilty to charges of harassment by breach of the restraining order. His behavior was described as showing a “flagrant disregard for court orders,” highlighting a pattern of defiance and aggressive conduct.

As a consequence, Roberts was sentenced to six weeks in jail and ordered to pay £85 in court costs. The case draws attention to the persistent issues surrounding domestic violence and the challenges faced by authorities in enforcing restraining orders in the Milford Haven community.
