MILFORD HAVEN COUPLE JAILED FOR SHOCKING ANIMAL NEGLECT AND ABUSE
In 2026, Lee Lock and Zoe Graham from Coombs Road, Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, pleaded guilty to animal welfare offences involving the neglect of 52 animals, some of whom didn't survive.Lock and Graham, who bred dogs under the name New Age Bullyz, kept numerous starving and unwell animals at their squalid residence.
On December 29, 2024, Dyfed Powys Police, RSPCA, and two vets visited the property, discovering 29 dogs and puppies, 17 snakes, a Hermanns tortoise, a leopard gecko, and a monitor lizard in shocking conditions, many of whom had to be euthanized or died shortly after rescue.
Many animals suffered from infections, injuries, and neglect.
Inspectors found a deceased French Bulldog in a freezer and another dumped in a shed, with injuries including a tear to his rectum caused by a blunt object—he had been in pain prior to dying.
Lock remained silent during interview, but afterward became abusive to officers.
The post-mortem confirmed the rectal tear.
Conditions inside were appalling, with overpowering smells and filthy environments.
Conditions in the bedrooms, living rooms, and outdoor yard were described as filthy, contaminated, and neglectful, with many animals in poor health and emaciated.
The exotic animals, including snakes, tortoise, gecko, and monitor lizard, were also found in heartbreaking state, with some later dying due to their conditions.
The animals were rehomed or cared for by the RSPCA, with only four dogs remaining to be rehomed.
Lock and Graham faced court, with Lock receiving a total of 45 months in prison, including 27 months for animal welfare offences, and a 25-year ban.
Graham was sentenced to 18 months in prison and a 15-year ban.
Lock's previous convictions include coercive behaviour, dangerous driving, and possession of a bladed article.
The case was described as a 'litany of unconscionable cruelty' by the judge, with both offenders responsible for sickening neglect.
Post-sentencing, authorities expressed gratitude for the team effort that rescued the animals and brought justice.
