MAN JAILED FOR 17 YEARS FOR 'WICKED' SEX OFFENCES AGAINST YOUNG GIRLS
A man from Huddersfield in West Yorkshire has received a 17-year prison sentence after admitting to multiple serious sex crimes, including several rapes of young girls dating back to 2015.Wayne Tracey was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court on Monday, 25 April, after pleading guilty to seven sex offences committed within the Kirklees area.
Police described the crimes as extremely distressing.
The 37-year-old defendant admitted to four counts of rape, two instances of sexual assault, and inciting a young girl to partake in sexual activity.
The offences occurred between 2015 and 2020 and involved two minor female victims from Huddersfield.
The court imposed a total term of 17 years in prison, followed by an additional six years on licence, amounting to a 23-year extended sentence.
Tracey will also be required to register as a sex offender on the child sex offender’s register.
