PAKISTANI MAN FROM HUDDERSFIELD CHARGED WITH 15 COUNTS OF RAPE.
A man arrested at Manchester Airport has been charged with 15 counts of rape as well as other offences.Mohammed Khalid, 55, from Huddersfield, will appear before Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday, May 26.
He has been charged with 15 counts of rape, two counts of indecent assault, two counts of supplying Class A drugs, and one count of sexual touching.
He has also been charged with two counts of facilitating travel within the United Kingdom for the purpose of commissioning a sexual offence.
The 55-year-old, who self-defines as Asian Pakistani, was arrested on Thursday morning (April 23) at Manchester Airport on suspicion of the offences.
The offences are alleged to have happened in the Kirklees area between 2003 and 2007, West Yorkshire Police have said.
Khalid appeared before Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 24, and was remanded in custody for the crown court appearance next month.
Kirklees Police continues to urge all victims of sexual offending, no matter when the offences may have occurred, to come forwards.
