LINCOLN PREDATOR TREVOR ELLY SENTENCED TO LIFE FOR DECADES OF CHILD SEX ABUSE

In a harrowing case that has shocked the community of Lincoln, Trevor Elley, a man with a long history of sexually abusing young boys, was sentenced to life imprisonment at Lincoln Crown Court.

The court heard that Elley's predatory behavior spanned over 25 years, during which he exploited and inflicted unimaginable harm on vulnerable children.

Elley, 65, of Queen Street, Lincoln, was found guilty of multiple serious charges following a trial held in September of this year.

The jury convicted him of two counts of raping a child under the age of 13, two counts of sexually assaulting a child under 13, seven counts of indecent assault on a male, and an additional charge of attempted buggery.

These offences involved three different boys and took place over a period stretching from 1983 to 2008.

The court was told that one of the victims was only seven years old when Elley began abusing him.

This young boy, described as highly vulnerable, was subjected to repeated sexual assaults, culminating in rape.

Two other boys, both aged 12 at the time, also fell victim to Elley's abuse, which involved a series of sexual assaults.

All three victims suffered severe emotional and psychological trauma as a result of Elley's actions.

Prosecutor Laura Pittman detailed the extent of the abuse, emphasizing the profound impact on the victims' lives.

Despite denying all charges, Elley was convicted by the jury after a trial that revealed his extensive criminal history.

He had previous convictions for similar offences dating back to the 1970s and had served prior jail sentences for his crimes.
