WESTON MAN DENIES RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES
A man from Weston is scheduled to stand trial in July after denying charges related to sexual offenses.Ricky Scott, aged 39 and residing on Pentelow Way in Weston, pleaded not guilty to one count of rape during his appearance at Lincoln Crown Court.
He also denied a separate charge of assault by penetration.
Both allegations are purported to have taken place on September 29 of the previous year.
The presiding judge, Catarina Sjolin Knight, postponed the case for a trial set to begin on July 6 next year at Lincoln Crown Court.
The trial is anticipated to last approximately four days.
Mr.
Scott has been released on bail under the condition that he does not enter a designated area of Weston and that he resides at two different addresses—one in North End, Swineshead, and another at Dozens Bank, West Pinchbeck.
Additionally, he has permission to travel to Mexico for a family holiday in January.
Judge Sjolin Knight advised Mr.
Scott, “You have pleaded not guilty to the two offences so the matter will need to go off for trial.” Prior to the trial, a pre-trial hearing was scheduled at Lincoln Crown Court for March 20.
