CAERNARFON MAN, 27, JAILED FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE OFFENCES
A man aged 27, named Tony Paul Michael Jones from Caernarfon, received a prison sentence of two years and ten months after pleading guilty to charges of controlling and coercive behaviour as well as suffocation in connection with a domestic abuse case.
He appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on Monday, July 24th, and admitted to the offences.
Along with his prison term, he was also given a restraining order that will be in effect for five years.
Detective Constable Eleri Jones praised the victim’s bravery, saying, “I would like to commend the courage shown by the victim during this process.
Reporting incidents of this nature is often difficult, and her bravery was crucial in achieving this outcome.
We want to reassure anyone experiencing controlling or coercive behaviour that we take such reports seriously and will conduct thorough investigations.”
